CIBC Wood Gundy is proud to uphold CIBC's great tradition of community involvement. Our Investment Advisors and employees participate in a wide range of fundraising initiatives at home and across the country. In addition to sponsoring local arts and amateur athletics, CIBC Wood Gundy employees are also proud participants in two of our most notable charitable initiatives: the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation CIBC Run for the Cure and Miracle Day.
Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation CIBC Run For The Cure
The Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation CIBC Run for the Cure is the largest single-day, volunteer-led fundraising event for breast cancer in Canada. Every year, more than 170,000 Canadians in 60 communities across the country participate in the CIBC Run for the Cure. Together, we're raising millions of dollars to fund innovative and relevant breast cancer research, education, and awareness programs in the communities where you live.
Since its inception in 1984, funds raised on CIBC Miracle Day have benefitted children in communities across the country, through the support of a variety of initiatives, including breakfast programs that provide a healthy start to the school day and recreational programs that build a child's confidence and self-esteem.
Today, CIBC Miracle Day is one of Canada's largest one-day corporate fundraising events devoted to children's charities.
On the first Wednesday of December each year, CIBC Wood Gundy Investment Advisors and CIBC's wholesale banking employees donate their fees and commissions to help more than . 400 children's charities across Canada who make miracles happen in our communities every day.
